Heart of Doors

The last few years I have found hearts, seen heart shapes, in a myriad of objects; from puddles, to stones & shells (a lot of those), clouds, steak: rump & tuna!, cake crumbs, crisps, chewing gum, stains, condensation, petals & leaves.....etc. I started to document by taking photographs of them, & so the heart shape is a common part of me.

This has led me to look at using it for my degree projects, but in a more abstract way; not the fuzzy-warm kind, but not the spiky-cold way either. I have collated some beautiful images, & inspired to use these, came up with the idea of using this imagery in a game, & hiding hearts in the image, that will give access/open the doors to the next level. Purely an online game, simple, but offering beautiful imagery along with using the brain & playing a game; fill in time on the train journey to work, quick lunch-time game, bedtime wind-down....etc.

Some Sketched Ideas

I have played & reviewed simple online games such as: Facebook Criminal Case to understand more of online games, their layouts, graphics, huds, process, progress, levels etc.

This is a small synopsis of the game idea, although if I followed through with this, there are more complexities that can be added to enhance the player's experience & stretch their imagination & brain...

Taken to New Brighton & out onto the rocks, I was shown some starfish, & took some photographs, & on a visit in the daytime took more; guess I find hearts everywhere!
